An Umuahia High Court has ordered the Federal Government and the Nigeria Army to pay N1billion to the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for invading his house in September 2017. The federal government and the Army were also ordered to apologize to Kanu for the violation of his Fundamental Rights. A bill seeking to compel landlords in the federal capital territory (FCT) to receive rent on a monthly basis has passed first reading at the senate. Alberta Justice Minister Kaycee Madu was fined for distracted driving and called Edmonton’s police chief to discuss the ticket, CBC News has learned. The federal government has filed a fresh charge bordering on alleged terrorism against Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Aloy Ejimakor, counsel to the IPOB leader, confirmed the development to TheCable on Monday.
