Aliko Dangote, chairman of Dangote Group and Africa’s richest person, says the refinery will begin processing crude by the third quarter of 2022. According to Bloomberg, the business mogul said mechanical work on the refinery is done, and “hopefully before the end of the third quarter we should be in the market”. He said this during a briefing at the plant site in Lagos. Burkina Faso President Roch Kabore has been detained at a military camp by mutinying soldiers following heavy gunfire around his residence on Sunday night in the capital Ouagadougou. According to Reuters, two security sources and a West African diplomat said this on Monday. The mutinous soldiers are yet to issue a statement on the incident. Nine oil thieves and their vessel caught with N200million worth of stolen crude oil in 2015 are going to walk free after paying N2,000 fine each.
