A High Court sitting in Ondo state, has sentenced a 78 year-old community leader, Ojo Komolafe, to death by hanging over the shooting and killing of a school proprietor, Taofik Babalola. Komolafe was said to have committed the offence on August 7, 2021 at Kajola area of Odigbo local government area, and reportedly killed the victim with a gun. Komolafe, who pleaded not guilty, but said he was roped by some cultists in the town. The prosecutor, H.M. A 43-year-old pastor with Mountain of Fire and Miracles (Worldwide), Chinedu Eze, has revealed how he was detained in prison for 14 years following his alleged refusal to cooperate with police on an issue he claimed he had no knowledge about. The United Kingdom (UK) Monday simplified trading rules and cut tariffs on products from developing countries, including Nigeria, saving businesses and consumers millions of pounds a year. The UK’s new post-Brexit Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS) scheme, which entered into force yesterday, according to a statement by the British Deputy High Commission in Nigeria, covers 65 countries, including Nigeria. THE Disciplinary Tribunal of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria, PCN, on Thursday, suspended four pharmacists from practice after they were found guilty in cases of ethical misconduct brought against them. The four pharmacists who were suspended from practice were among the eight respondents that faced trial before the tribunal for varying offences during the day.
