Amnesty International said a total of fifteen protesters arrested during the #EndSARS protest of 2020 are still being arbitrarily detained three years later. The international organisation on Friday said in a statement on its website that the majority of the protesters are in Kirikiri Medium Correctional Centre and Ikoyi Medium Security Correctional Centre in Lagos without trial. President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu as chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has begun the stakeholder consultation process for its phase 4 Regulations development. The stakeholder consultation process, which is a requirement of the Petroleum Industry Act per S.216(1) in the development of new regulations, had begun earlier in July with the Commission calling for inputs to relevant draft regulations from concerned stakeholders.
