Former Chief Judge of Lagos State, Honourable Justice Abdul Fatai Adeyinka has passed away on Thursday. The jurist died yesterday morning. Justice Adeyinka was born in 1939. He attended Ereko Methodist School, Lagos from 1947-54 and Anwar-Islam College, Agege, from1955-59. He proceeded to Leeds College of Commerce, England, 1961-63, Holborn College of Law, London, 1964-66, Woolich Polytechnic, London, 1967-68. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1969. Restriction on flights arriving from Nigeria and 11 other African nations will be lifted on Saturday, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities have said. The country’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) said it was lifting the ban initially imposed as part of measures to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19. The authorities said flight arrivals can resume from countries like Botswana, Congo Republic, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, and Namibia. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has requested a total of N3 trillion from the federal government to fund fuel subsidy in 2022. The Minister of Finance and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents after the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja on Wednesday. The federal government had on Monday suspended its plan to remove fuel subsidy.
