President Donald Trump, his two eldest sons, and his family business sued the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Treasury Department over alleged leaks of their confidential tax information, court records showed Thursday. The plaintiffs seek at least $10 billion in damages, according to the lawsuit in Miami federal court. Rwanda has announced that it has filed a legal complaint at The Hague against the United Kingdom over unmet payments from a cancelled migration treaty. The Rwandan government filed a Notice of Arbitration in November 2025 to the Permanent Court of Arbitration, under Article 22 of the Treaty between the United Kingdom and Rwanda concerning the Migration and Economic Development Partnership (MEDP). A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has awarded N210m in damages against Airtel Networks Limited for the unlawful use of a musical work titled “Nigeria Go Survive.” Justice Ibrahim Kala, while delivering judgment on Monday in suit no. The Law Society has said it is ‘extremely disappointed’ that not a single solicitor has been appointed King’s Counsel in this year’s silk round. The King has approved the appointment of 96 new silks, the Ministry of Justice announced today – all barristers despite nine solicitors applying. KC status is awarded to legal professionals who have demonstrated a particular skill and expertise in the conduct of advocacy, and solicitors with higher rights of audience have been eligible to apply for KC status since 1995.
