The Lagos State Government has announced the names of survivors who are presently undergoing treatment at the Lagos Island General Hospital, Marina. The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, read out the names and ages of the survivors who were found under the rubble of the 21-storey building that collapsed on Monday while addressing the press during his second visit to the site on Wednesday. According to the governor, six of the nine survivors are currently undergoing treatment while three have been discharged. Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered indefinite suspension of the General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency, LASBCA, Mr. Gbolahan Oki, an architect. The suspension followed the collapsed of a 21-storey building at Gerrard Road, Ikoyi on Monday, in which over 15 persons have been confirmed dead and several others still trapped and feared dead in the debris. There was pandemonium, Monday, when hoodlums laid siege to the Lagos State High Court sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square over the shooting of one of their own by a warder from Kirikiri Prisons.
