Six Nigerians have been sanctioned by the United States for allegedly supporting Nigeria-based terrorist group, Boko Haram The US, in a statement, listed the individuals as Abdurrahman Ado Musa, Salihu Yusuf Adamu, Bashir Ali Yusuf, Muhammed Ibrahim Isa, Ibrahim Ali Alhassan and Surajo Abubakar Muhammad. The Supreme Court of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja upheld the de-registration of 22 political parties carried out by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC. The parties were among the 74 scrapped in 2020 by INEC following their dismal performances in the previous elections. The Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has sent one Michael Jackson to three months in prison for internet fraud. According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Jackson who was arrested on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, posed as Ella Ellywood, a transgender woman, to scam victims of millions of Naira. “The suspect, who also claimed to be a Disc Jockey, had in his possession fetish items, which he claimed was “for grace and success,” the commission had said in a statement. A Lagos High Court sitting at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) has discharged and acquitted a housewife, Mary Alilu, who was accused of murdering her husband, Kingsley Perewe, by cutting his neck and head. Nigeria’s Toyin Tofade, last Wednesday, became the first black female president of the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) founded in 1881.
