Former Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Munta Ladipo Abimbola, has joined the lecturing team of Bola Ajibola College of Law (BACOLAW), Crescent University, Abeokuta, after years of being behind the bench.
Abimbola, who is now retired, according to the Dean of BACOLAW, Dr. Saliu Jimoh, bagged his “appointment as a senior lecturer in the College and seconded to the Department of Commercial and Property Law”.
Jimoh, also added that he will be bringing his wealth of experience in Arbitration and Professional Ethics as well as Civil and Criminal Procedure to the College.
Meanwhile, reports gathered revealed that Justice Munta Abimbola holds a PhD in Law from Lead City University, Ibadan. He also holds Master’s and first degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
He was Chief Judge of Oyo State between 2015 and 2022, Acting Chief Judge of Oyo State (2014-2015) and Judge of High Court of Justice, Oyo State (1997-2023), while he also belongs to a number of academic and professional bodies.
Also, the Proprietor and Chairman, Board of Trustees, Prince Ma’ruf Adesegun Ajibola (SAN), welcomed Justice Abimbola, in the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibraheem Gbajabiamila and other members of the management team.
