The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the development of official residences for top members of the Judiciary — specifically the President of the Court of Appeal, the President of the Industrial Court, and the Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory.
This was confirmed by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, while speaking with journalists at the State House after Thursday’s council meeting chaired by President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.
According to Wike, construction has already begun at the designated sites, and the move is part of government’s commitment to improving the welfare and working conditions of key judicial officers across the country.
He also announced that FEC approved the provision of water to the satellite towns of Orozo, Karu, and Bwari. The Minister explained that during a previous inauguration of Abuja’s water supply, President Tinubu had promised to extend the service to these satellite towns.
Wike assured that the flagged-off water project would be completed and inaugurated within a good record time.
