COMMENCEMENT OF PAYMENT OF 2026 BAR PRACTISING FEE (BPF)

Dear Esteemed Colleague,

We write to formally notify all members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) that payment of the 2026 Bar Practising Fee (BPF) commences on Thursday, 1st January 2026.

Kindly note that only members who pay their Bar Practising Fee on or before 31st March 2026 shall be regarded as financially compliant for the year and will be entitled to enjoy all statutory and association benefits, including but not limited to:
• Right of audience before all courts in Nigeria
• Lawful use of the NBA Stamp and Seal
• Access to NBA welfare schemes and insurance benefits
• Participation in NBA national and branch elections (as voter or candidate)
• Eligibility for professional advancement, including:
• Appointment as a Judicial Officer
• Application as a Notary Public
• Consideration for the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN)
• Issuance of official practice documents such as:
• Annual Practice Licence
• Letter of Good Standing

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Failure to pay your Bar Practising Fee on or before 31st March 2026 may restrict your right to practice law and deny access to NBA privileges for the year.

Mode of Payment

All BPF payments must be made online through your verified NBA membership portal via the link below:
https://portal.nigerianbar.org.ng/login

Members are strongly advised to ensure their portal details are accurate and up to date before initiating payment.

We appreciate your continued cooperation and commitment to upholding the standards of the legal profession.
