The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) wishes to inform all members, particularly those seeking appointment as Notaries Public, of the recent directive issued by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
In a Public Notice signed by the Chief Registrar, Hajo Sarki Bello, Esq., manual applications for appointment as Notaries Public will no longer be accepted from the 15th of December, 2024. Effective January 2025, all applications must be submitted online.
This important development, which aligns with ongoing efforts to modernize and digitize processes within the legal profession is commendable. Members are urged to take note of the timelines and ensure full compliance.
